Choosing the right size:
To choose the right size, measure the circumference of both legs as indicated in the table, in a standing position, and then select the size.
Legend to table of sizes:
AD knee-length socks
K central crotch point
cG circumference measured 5 cm below K
cF circumference measured in the middle of the thigh
cE circumference measured through the middle of the kneecap and the back area of the knee
cD circumference measured below the tibial tuberosity
cC circumference measured in calf – in the widest circumference
cB1 circumference measured in point, where Achilles tendon gets on calf's muscles
cB circumference measured in ankle – in the most tightest circumference
To match the length properly it is necessary to measure the section below:
for tights and stockings AG 62 – 71 cm short / AG 72 – 83 cm long
for knee-length socks AD 34 – 38 cm short / AD 39 – 44 cm long
Putting the product on:
Medical compression products should be put on in a different way than ordinary hosiery. You are advised to put them on in the morning, after a night’s sleep, before getting up, in the horizontal position or just after getting up.
Follow the below instructions:
- Do not pull the product up the leg but carefully gather the whole length of material into the hand. In case of stockings do not pull the seam of the elastic silicon band directly.
- Put on starting from the toes towards the ankle, spreading it steadily on the foot.
- Place the heel carefully and adequately.
- Pull up to the knee-high, spread it carefully on the calf, loosening the strain resulting from putting the hosiery on. Smooth all the folds by palm.
- Pull up to the full length of legs.
- In case of tights put them on in the way described above, firstly onto one leg, secondly onto the other and stretch the full length of leg.
In the original package, in-room temperature and in a dry and dark place.
Care and maintenance instruction:
Compression products should be washed every day after using.
It is advisable to wash separately or at least with cloth in similar colours.
Avoid direct insolation.
Compression class, size and usage should be consulted with a physician.
Do not wear the product directly on wounds, damaged skin or skin affected by a disease.
Lack of daily personal hygiene or improper product maintenance may cause skin abrasions, allergic reactions associated with increased sweating and development of bacterial flora.
In the case of acute pain or skin irritation while wearing the product, immediately take it off and consult your physician.
It is important to maintain the utmost care when putting on and taking off the hosiery, in order not damage the delicate product as it is, e.g. with a nail, watch or jewellery. It is recommended to use rubber gloves. Also, toenails, rough or callous skin, e.g. on heels, damaged inside of footwear or insoles enhancing friction may cause frays and the product damage.
Application of ointment, oils, creams and other similar substances may negatively influence the product properties, decrease the product durability and efficiency.
Medical efficacy of compressive products is guaranteed for 6 months if proper care is provided. After this time healing efficacy of hosiery decreases due to material fatigue and wear.
